About VIC
Established 2007. Auckland, New Zealand. Built by skateboarders, for skateboarders.
Where It Started
VIC was built on the streets, at VIC Park, and behind the camera documenting New Zealand skateboarding. In 2007, we released our first full-length skate video, Karma Karma, which was featured in Manual Magazine as one of the most influential New Zealand skate videos. Since then, we've continued filming the local skate scene, producing skate videos and clips that showcase the people and culture behind New Zealand skateboarding.
We're here to create clothing that reflects the lifestyle we live and to support the community that has shaped us from the beginning.
Rooted in New Zealand Skateboarding
Eighteen years on, VIC is still connected to the streets where it all started. We've watched the New Zealand skate scene grow, evolve, and earn its place on the world stage, and we've been there through every step of the journey.
We're proud to be part of that story. VIC has been stocked in stores across Europe, Japan, and Australia, featured in Manual Magazine, and supported by the community that helped build us.
Our connection to the New Zealand skate scene isn't a marketing strategy. It's who we are and the reason VIC exists.
18+ Years and Still Going
A lot has changed since 2007. The streets look different. The skate scene has grown. Auckland has changed. But the heart of VIC remains the same.
We're still owner operated. Still based in Auckland. Still making decisions based on what feels right for the culture, not what's easiest for the bottom line.
That's something we don't take for granted, and it's something we plan to carry forward.
Sustainability
We believe in making quality products that are built to last. Creating clothing that people can wear, enjoy, and keep for years is at the heart of what we do.
